Alfa 169? Suspiciously likely!

Enthusiasts have spotted what looks like the new Alfa Romeo 169 on the back of a transporter. This sighting is highly likely to be the real thing as it is scheduled to go in to production in 2009 and the final touches will now be underway. Pictured here is an artist’s impression which leads us to believe it’s well worth the wait. Prices for the new 166 replacement will start from around £30,000 for the 2.8 V6 model. There is also expected to be a top of the range 5.0-litre V8 powerplant producing 530bhp as well as pulling power of 600Nm which is sure to put a little sweat on the brows of the BMW clan.
